Addition

Addition provides the basis of all arithmetic operations. It follows the same principles as decimal addition, and is used similarly to add two numbers together. However, with binary addition follows these rules:

0 + 0 = 0
0 + 1 = 1
1 + 0 = 1
1 + 1 = 0 (with the 1 carrying over to the next position)

So, for example, we can now do the following operations:
