Integer Representation

Sign and Modulus
Sign and modulus is a coding system that allows both positive and negative numbers to be represented in binary. For example: 011=3, 010=2, 001=1, 000=0, 101=-1, 10=-2, 11=-3. In this iexampl, the numbers from -3 to 3 are represented by two digits, while the third represents whether the number is odd or even.
